<p>I make this in <a href="https://amzn.to/4u6kAAh"><em><strong>a 10” cast iron skillet</strong></em></a> but have also doubled the recipe and baked it in a 9”x13” pan. The thing to remember with baking in a cast iron skillet is that you need to remove any leftovers from the pan and store them in a different container. If left in the cast iron for more than a day, the bottom starts turning black. </p>

<h3>How to Make the Crumble: </h3>

<ul>
<li>Preheat the oven </li>
<li>Chop the strawberries in your <em><strong><a href="https://amzn.to/4u6kAAh">skillet</a></strong></em> and stir in the sugar, vanilla, and flour</li>
<li>In a bowl, combine the sugars and butter till smooth. Add the cinnamon, flour, and oats and stir to combine.</li>
<li>Spread crumb topping over strawberries.</li>
<li>Bake in preheated oven until golden brown and filling is bubbly. </li>
<li>Serve with ice cream or milk and enjoy!</li>

<h3>How to Make the Cookies:</h3>
<ul>
<li>Cream the butter and sugar till light and fluffy </li>
<li>Add the eggs and vanilla and beat</li>
<li>Add the dry ingredients and mix</li>
<li>Add the chopped apples and mix just to combine</li>
<li>Bake in 350 degrees preheated oven for about 14 minutes. You want the top of the cookie set and the edges brown.</li>

<p>Keep in mind that these cookies have apples which contain moisture so they will become a little soggy the next day. They are best enjoyed the day they’re made but you can store them in an airtight container for a couple days. Some suggest adding a slice of white bread to the container and it’s supposed to help the cookies not get soggy. </p>

Homemade granola is fast and easy to mix up and only takes 6 ingredients. We like to eat it with my <a href="https://myeverydayordinarylife.com/homemade-yogurt/"><em><strong>homemade yogurt</strong></em></a>. The kids love that combo! 
<h3>Ingredients Needed: </h3>
<ul>
 	<li>oats – you can use old fashioned or quick oats </li>
 	<li>coconut flakes – I use sweetened coconut flakes but you could use unsweetened for even healthier granola </li>
 	<li>sliced almonds – a 4 oz bag is the perfect amount. I have also ground up whole almonds in the blender and added them. </li>
 	<li>salt</li>
 	<li>olive oil – you can also use avocado oil or coconut oil </li>
 	<li>honey – you can also use maple syrup </li>

<h3>How to Make Homemade Granola:</h3>
<ul>
 	<li>In a large mixing bowl, mix together the oats, coconut flakes, and salt. </li>
 	<li>Make a well in the center and pour in the honey and oil.</li>
 	<li>Mix it altogether and spread on two parchment paper lined half sheet pans.</li>
 	<li>Bake in preheated oven, stirring every 20 minutes until lightly brown and golden.</li>
 	<li>Let cool completely and store in an airtight container. </li>
 	<li>Enjoy!</li>

Once the granola is baking in the oven, just keep an eye on it because once it’s done, it browns quickly. After it’s baked and cooled, you can add all kinds of additions if desired.
<h3 class="p1"><span class="s1">Optional Recipe Variations:</span></h3>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">-Add dried fruit such as dried blueberries, dried cranberries, or freeze-dried strawberries or peaches after the granola has cooled. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">-Replace the almonds with sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, or pecans. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">-Switch the almonds out for pumpkin seeds and add 3 tsp cinnamon for a delicious fall flavor. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">-For peanut butter chocolate chip, omit the almonds, add 1 cup peanut butter and then 1 cup mini chocolate chips after it’s cooled. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">-For Autumn Spice omit almonds and add 1 cup pumpkin seeds, 1 cup chopped pecans, 4 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice, 2 teaspoons cinnamon, and after toasted add 1 cup dried cranberries.</span></p>

Make a hole in the middle and pour in the honey and oil. <span style="display: block;">-For peanut butter chocolate chip, omit the almonds, add 1 cup peanut butter and then 1 cup mini chocolate chips after it’s cooled.</span><div class="wprm-spacer"></div>
<span style="display: block;">-For Autumn Spice omit almonds and add 1 cup pumpkin seeds, 1 cup chopped pecans, 4 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice, 2 teaspoons cinnamon, and after toasted add 1 cup dried cranberries.</span></div></div>
