Classic Chocolate Brownies
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups white sugar
- 5 eggs
- 1 1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cups butter melted
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 3/4 cup baking cocoa
- 3/4 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped pecans optional
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Grease a jellyroll sheet pan.
- In a mixing bowl or mixer, beat sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
- Add melted butter and mix well.
- Combine dry ingredients and add to the batter mixing well.
- Stir in chocolate chips and pecans.
- Pour into greased pan.
- Bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes or until brownies test done with a toothpick. Let cool in pan.
