Classic Chocolate Brownies

Ingredients
  

  • 2 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cups butter melted
  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 3/4 cup baking cocoa
  • 3/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped pecans optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Grease a jellyroll sheet pan.
  • In a mixing bowl or mixer, beat sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
  • Add melted butter and mix well.
  • Combine dry ingredients and add to the batter mixing well.
  • Stir in chocolate chips and pecans.
  • Pour into greased pan.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes or until brownies test done with a toothpick. Let cool in pan.
