Classic Chocolate Brownies

Ingredients
  

  • 2 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cups butter melted
  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 3/4 cup baking cocoa
  • 3/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped pecans optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Grease a jellyroll sheet pan.
  3. In a mixing bowl or mixer, beat sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
  4. Add melted butter and mix well.
  5. Combine dry ingredients and add to the batter mixing well.
  6. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans.
  7. Pour into greased pan.
  8. Bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes or until brownies test done with a toothpick. Let cool in pan.
