Ground Beef Breakfast Gravy (for Biscuits and Gravy)

This gravy goes perfectly with biscuits for a delicious and hearty breakfast.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 6 cups whole milk and more as needed
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • Seasoned salt

Method
 

  1. In a large cast iron skillet or Dutch oven, brown the ground beef. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  2. Once browned, add the flour and stir making sure to scrape the bottom of the skillet to keep it from burning.
  3. Once flour is starting to brown but not burn, add the milk. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and seasoned salt. Stir and add additional milk as needed. Simmer on low until thickened.
  4. Serve over biscuits.
